Refund Policy

1. Overview

All YourNextPlay subscription fees are non-refundable, except as outlined below. This page summarizes the refund terms that also appear in Section 10.4 of our Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between this page and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

2. Before You Subscribe

We make a deliberate effort to help you understand exactly what YourNextPlay is and is not before you pay. Before subscribing, you can review at no cost:

  • The full feature overview on our home page
  • Our complete product tour video on YouTube and on the home page
  • Pricing details and what each plan includes on the pricing page
  • Public posts and short demos on Instagram and other social channels
  • The Terms of Service and this Refund Policy

Please review these materials before subscribing. The refund grounds described below reflect the assumption that you have had the opportunity to evaluate the Service before purchase.

3. When You May Receive a Refund

Refunds are issued in three scenarios:

  • 7-day refund window for new purchases. If you request a refund within seven (7) calendar days of your initial subscription purchase AND have not made significant use of the Service, YourNextPlay will issue a full refund.
  • Demonstrated technical failure. At YourNextPlay's sole discretion, refunds may be issued in cases of demonstrated, sustained technical failure that prevented platform use for a substantial portion of a billing period and that we were unable to resolve after you reported it.
  • Where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

4. What Counts as "Significant Use"

For purposes of the 7-day refund window, "significant use" means any one of the following:

  • Sending five (5) or more emails to college coaches through the Service
  • Adding ten (10) or more schools to your watchlist
  • Generating and saving matches via the Match Assistant

If you have done any of the above within the 7-day window, the new-purchase refund no longer applies. The other two scenarios (technical failure, applicable law) remain available regardless of usage.

5. What Is Not Grounds for a Refund

The following are not, on their own, grounds for a refund:

  • Change of mind after the 7-day window or after significant use — the platform's features, pricing, and scope are publicly demonstrated before purchase through our tour video and home page; we encourage you to evaluate them before subscribing.
  • Recruiting outcomes — YourNextPlay provides tools, data, and a way to contact coaches directly. We do not promise, and cannot guarantee, that you will receive coach replies, scholarship offers, interviews, official visits, roster spots, admission, or any specific recruiting outcome. The absence of a particular outcome is not a failure of the Service.
  • Coach response rate — coaches decide whether and when to reply. The Service helps you reach them; it cannot make them respond.
  • Personal preference for a competing tool or finding a free alternative after purchasing.
  • Misuse leading to account suspension under the Terms of Service.
  • Failure to use the Service after purchase, where the Service was available to you and functioning.

6. Renewals

Renewal payments — including the second-year and any subsequent automatic renewal of a multi-year plan — are non-refundable except where required by law. To avoid an unwanted renewal, cancel before the renewal date through your account settings or the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Cancellation preserves your access through the end of the period you have already paid for, and stops the next renewal from charging.

7. How to Request a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@yournextplay.ai. Please include:

  • The email address associated with your YourNextPlay account
  • The approximate date of your subscription purchase
  • A brief reason for the request

We aim to respond to every request within two (2) business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within ten (10) business days.

How refunds are paid out. All YourNextPlay payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. YourNextPlay does not directly hold or move your funds. Once you complete a purchase, the funds are first held by Stripe and typically take several business days to settle and become available to YourNextPlay.

When a refund is approved, YourNextPlay initiates the refund through Stripe. The full timeline you should expect is:

  • Up to 2 business days for YourNextPlay to review and approve your request after you email us.
  • Up to 10 business days for YourNextPlay to initiate the refund through Stripe after approval.
  • An additional 5–10 business days for Stripe to finalize the refund and for the funds to appear in your bank account or on your card statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

In total, please allow up to several weeks between submitting a refund request and seeing the funds in your account. If a refund has not appeared after that period, email support@yournextplay.ai and we will follow up with Stripe on your behalf.

8. Effect of Refund on Access

When a full refund is processed, your access to paid features will be revoked immediately upon refund completion. Partial refunds, when granted at YourNextPlay's discretion, do not affect your access rights for the remainder of the billing period unless the underlying subscription is also canceled.

9. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation and refund are different actions. Canceling your subscription stops the next renewal but does not refund what you have already paid; you keep full access until the end of the current period. A refund returns money you have paid, subject to the conditions above. Most users who no longer want to continue should cancel — that is the path the platform is designed for.
